50 Cent reacts to Ed Sheeran's 'In Da Club' cover
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
Let's just say you tried your best, Ed!
Ed Sheeran has the music streets talking after his interesting cover of 50 Cent's hit song, 'In Da Club'.
The 32-year-old singer performed an acoustic version of the 2003 song during a recent show in Los Angeles. The 'Perfect' hitmaker was the opening act at John Mayer's benefit concert for the Heart and Armor Benefit Foundation.
During his opening act performance, Ed surprised the crowd by singing 'In Da Club' while playing his guitar.
50 Cent shared a clip from the show on Instagram. "Ed Sheeran right now in LA at the John Mayer concert killing s**t! BOOM," he captioned the video.

50 Cent clearly loved Ed's rendition of 'In Da Club' but social media users were not feeling it as much.
"Cool tribute and all but this version is a**. This could’ve been so much better," one Instagram user wrote.
Another user added: "You should sue him like Marvin [Gaye's] estate for this horrendous act."
You tried, Ed. That's all that matters!

Surprisingly, it is not the first time Ed has performed 'In Da Club'. The British singer is a big hip-hop fan and has rapped on some of his songs - especially during his early days as an artist.
He covered the song a few times in the past, including during a performance on 'The Howard Stern Show' in 2017. Ed also covered Blackstreet's 'No Diggity' and Coldplay's 'Yellow'.
