World Egg Day: Preparing eggs in an air fryer
Updated | By Poelano Malema
There are numerous methods for cooking eggs and an air fryer is another excellent option.
The second Friday of October has been set as World Egg Day.
Millions if not billions of egg lovers around the world celebrate this nutritional food.
According to the International Egg Commission, eggs contain most of the vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants required by the body.
One egg reportedly has about only 72 calories, but 6 grams of high-quality protein, 5 grams of fat, and 1.6 grams of saturated fat, along with iron, vitamins, minerals, and carotenoids.
Eggs can be prepared using different cooking methods and appliances.
An air fryer is also a great appliance for making eggs.
All you need is the egg, an air fryer, and a small baking pan that can fit in an air fryer.
Method:
Take a mini pie pan, ramekin, or another small baking dish.
Lightly coat it with oil or cooking spray so that the egg doesn't stick to the dish.
Break the egg and place it in the dish.
Pull out the air fryer basket.
Put in the dish with the egg.
Put the basket back into the air fryer.
Set the air fryer to 180 degrees Celsius.
Set the time between three and five minutes, depending on how well you want it done.
After the set minutes, check if it is done to your desired texture.
Enjoy your egg.
