Nice and tender: How to cook beef tongue

Do you want to try something different? Then this tongue meat recipe is for you!
In different parts of the world, people enjoy eating cooked animal tongues. These include tongues from an ox, lamb, pig, calf, and duck.
Tongue meat is very delicious, depending on how you cook it, though it takes hours to cook.
But when well cooked and with the right spices, you will enjoy tongue meat.

Recipe:
- Soak the tongue for a couple of minutes.
- Place the tongue into a pot.
- Season it with salt.
- Pour enough water to cover the tongue.
- Bring to a boil and cook until the outer skin begins to peel off. This will take about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
- When the skin is softer, place the tongue in a pot with cold water for a minute which will make the skin come out easily.
- Peel off the skin and discard.
- Add spices, onions, and any other vegetables you like.
Slice into thin pieces and enjoy!
