Chinese food recipe: Crispy dough balls aka South African vetkoek

Parts of South Africa are experiencing cold weather conditions.
The South African Weather Service has warned that some parts of the country will also experience rain.
"We are expecting severe thunderstorms over the western parts of the North West province, spreading over the Northern Cape, with disruptive snow still remaining around at the Drakensberg mountain. Cold conditions are expected to affect Gauteng, Free State, Mpumalanga and Limpopo," forecaster Lehlohonolo Thobela told Jacaranda FM.
Currently, the KwaZulu Natal province has been hit by snow.
Such weather demands warm comfort food. Vetkoeks are one of the favourite warm foods in South Africa.

He shared the recipe of the ' trending crispy fried dough balls recipe in China' aka South African vetkoek on Instagram.

Ingredients:
Plain wheat floor (400g)
Yeast powder (5g)
Four eggs
Sugar (50g)
Cooking oil (15g)
Method:
Break the eggs into a bowl
Add sugar
Add cooking oil
Add flour
Add yeast powder
Mix together with chopsticks
Knead the dough with a single hand
Cut into equal parts
Shape into small balls
Press flat
Spread edible oil
Cover with cling film
Let it sit for 30 minutes
Heat oil to 120 degrees Celsius
Deep fry on low heat until golden brown
Enjoy!
