6 recipes from Jennifer Garner's 'Pretend Cooking Show'

Jennifer Garner has a cooking show – well, sort of. It’s not official, but in her almost-a-cooking-show social media series, she shares some of the most mouth-watering recipes.

A deadly assassin named Elektra by day, a mom who loves to cook by night. Actress Jennifer Garner has traded in the camera for a kitchen cutting board.

The 52-year-old has spent the last few years cooking up a storm in between her acting gigs.

When she's not playing pretend onscreen, she is sharing some of her favourite recipes straight from her kitchen.

Garner doesn't officially have a cooking series like Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, or actress Pamela Anderson, but her videos are just as good.

She posts clips on Instagram and YouTube under a series appropriately named 'Pretend Cooking Show'.

Her family members, including her mother Pat, sometimes join her to share their treasured heirloom recipes.

Garner also shares some of the fun she gets up to on her family's 55-acre Oklahoma farm, which she bought in 2017.

Her mother described her as a "much better cook" than her.

Speaking to 'Good Morning America' in 2020, Garner revealed why she enjoys cooking so much.

"Cooking connects me to my family because my mom was such a steady, solid, really great cook," the Once Upon a Farm co-founder said.

"Whenever I smell a roast chicken or fresh bread baking or my neighbour Marge's gingersnaps in the oven, it connects me to my childhood. And I feel like I'm passing that on, and that comfort and cosiness, as much as I can to my kids, as well as an expectation that they will grow up and they know what healthy food is."

Here's a look at some of The Hollywood star's recent recipes.

1. Grandmom’s Creamed Corn

2. Farm biscuits

3. Cauliflower cavatelli

4. Egg bites

5. Lemon olive oil cake

6. Chiffon pie
