It's that time of the year where many of us can't wait for the holiday season to officially kick-in.
After working hard these past eleven months, it is normal to feel exhausted.
But unfortunately many people go only go on leave closer to Christmas.
So, how do you go about keeping your energy levels high even when you are tired physically and mentally? Here is a guide.
Plan your days ahead
Planning your day in advance has many benefits. One of the benefits is that it makes you more productive and also helps you set timeframes and prioritise what needs to be done.
Set boundaries
There are things that will try to compete for your attention such as social media, year-end functions, parties, and many other social gatherings. It is not necessary to attend all events especially when you feel fatigued.
Even if you do go, set boundaries when it comes to how long you can be there, especially if you have to go back to work the next day.

Take care of your mental wellness
You need your mind to work at its optimum level in order to carry out your work. So concentrate on positive thoughts and try to eliminate stress.
Get enough sleep
Sleep has countless benefits, including helping you feel rejuvenated. Getting enough sleep will also help you reduce stress and improve your mood.
Eat healthily and stay hydrated
Food offers us energy. However, it is important to eat healthily so that you may enjoy good health.
Exercise
Exercise is good for your overall well-being. Exercise can create physical changes that help increase energy levels inside the body, states Harvard Health.
