The recent funeral of Tshwane musician Vusi Ma R5 has gone viral on social media after images of inappropriately dressed women did the rounds on social media. This has left many debating where we draw the line when it comes to the dress code at funerals.
Funerals are solemn occasions where guests want to send off the departed in dignity.
At most funerals, people wear formal black or dark clothes. Some societies even go as far as saying men must wear jackets or suits and women must wear head coverings.

But things have changed.
Nowadays, attendees have the freedom to choose what they want to wear.
Although this is progressive, the question is, where do we draw the line?
Recently, social media has been bombarded with images of Tshwane musician Vusi Ma R5's funeral which took place over the weekend.
The music icon, real name Itumeleng Mosoeu, pioneered Bacardi music. He released hits such as 'Tse Nnyane' and 'Thaba'. The 34-year-old was killed in the early hours of Monday last week.
Ma R5 has been trending on Twitter at the #1 spot for over two days.
The memorial and funeral services were not without controversy.
Videos and images of women dressed in nothing but underwear, sheer mesh tops, and short dresses revealing private parts have caused a stir on social media.
The footage has led to the debate: Should there be a dress code at funerals?
