Parents are divided over this Mamaroo baby swing machine

Some parents think the machine is a lifesaver, while others believe it replaces skin-to-skin bonding.

The Mamaroo swing was designed to make the lives of parents easier.

The seat bounces up and down and sways from side to side, just like parents do when comforting their babies.

The machine also allows babies to lie back and relax or sit up and play.

This means parents can rely on it to rock their babies to sleep or comfort them without actually holding them.

Even though the machine received 4 ½ star ratings on Amazon, it seems not all parents think it is a good idea.

Kids Republic posted a video showing a child sleeping on the swing and asked parents their thoughts.

The parents were divided, with some believing it gives them the much-desired help, while others thought it gives the children a false impression that they are bonding with their parents.

Parents' reaction

“I have it my baby loves it, and it helps me when I have things to and he wants to be held. I put him in and turn on the white noise and he just chills,” one mom commented.

“In sure it’s a pretty penny..... and no. Babies need the human body under them. Skin to skin bonding and to hear the human heart underneath them," another user wrote.

“This thing will last a month. its not that serious. same thing as putting them in a swing or bassinet,” another user wrote.
