The bob hairstyle is making a comeback in 2025, and celebrities like Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Lily Collins are already one step ahead of the rest.
Long hair has always been considered a beauty standard for women. Think Disney princess hair – Rapunzel in the movie 'Tangled' or Ariel in 'The Little Mermaid'.
When it comes to attracting a prince, every damsel in distress needs luscious locks and a tragic backstory, of course.
Unless you are a rebel like ballroom dancer Irene Castle, who helped make the bob popular in the early 1900s.
Since then, we have seen the edgy bob, the mod bob, the shaggy bob and the posh bob, aka the Pob, courtesy of Victoria Beckham in the 2000s.
You get the drift! Bobs are super cool, and they are the biggest hair trend of 2025.

Khloé Kardashian
Khloé Kardashian started 2025 with new goals and a new hairstyle. She traded in her shiny, long and thick brown hair for a gorgeous bob.
"Bobby," she wrote on January 25. Her 303 million Instagram followers approved.
"Obsessed with the bob," Chloe Bailey commented.
Another follower wrote: "Omg, love, love, love this hairstyle."
Lily Collins
'Emily in Paris' star Lily Collins first rocked a faux bob at the Met Gala in 2023 before officially committing to the haircut in June 2024.
"Good (bye) hair day she captioned a final picture of herself with her long hair. One day later, she showed off her sophisticated blunt bob.
"New hair era unlocked," she wrote.
To show how big of a deal cutting your hair in Hollywood is, the whole thing was documented for Vogue magazine.
"I honestly just wanted to change things up again and surprise myself,” she told the publication.

Kris Jenner
It looks like Khloé gets it from her mama, Kris Jenner. The 69-year-old is known for her trademark pixie cut but these days she has a pixie bob with bangs.

Actress and award-winning style icon Zendaya is a trendsetter.
Naturally, she would be ahead of the latest trend. Her new bob haircut was the talk of Tinseltown in December 2022.
When her hair grew out, she graduated to the lob, a longer version of the bob.

Singer and actress Kelly Rowland's jet-black bob will tempt just about anyone to get the big chop.

The Kardashian-Jenner family loves to be at the centre of every trend, so naturally, Kendall Jenner would hop on the bob haircut like her mom and big sister.

Selena Gomez made the bold switch from a long mane to a bob while promoting her award-winning film 'Emilia Pérez'.

You can't talk about the bob without mentioning the "Queen of the Bob" – Vogue's editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour.
The 75-year-old has been rocking a bob since she was a teenager. Why would the most powerful woman in fashion wear the same hairstyle for decades?
It would be considered a major faux pas for most fashionistas.
"I've had many hairdressers over the years and I can't remember how long I've had this haircut for. The one time I tried to change, it was a disaster. I had to wear a hat for several months. So I'm way too anxious and too lazy to try it again," Wintour said in 2019.
