There are many fun things you can do these holidays with your family if you are in or around KZN. From picnic sites to beaches, these are places you can visit to make your holiday memorable.
KwaZulu-Natal is one of the most popular provinces that
attracts people from all over the world during the holiday season.
This is because the province has beautiful beaches, game reserves, and must-see heritage sites.
Picnic sites
Plan a fun picnic for the whole family at Durban Botanic Gardens - Africa's oldest surviving botanic garden.
“Families are encouraged to bring picnic baskets, blankets, and camp chairs, and relax on the lawns or under a majestic tree. All areas are accessible for picnics unless they are reserved for a specific event,” Durban Botanic Gardens says on its website.
Other places you can visit include the Paradise Valley Nature Reserve, which is located on 9A John Zikhali Road, Berea, Durban, and the Japanese Gardens in Durban North, which is also a fantastic picnic spot which has a playground for the kids, an expansive grass lawn for them to play on, a small stream, and a tea garden.
