Four ways to identify your life's purpose
Updated | By ThriveIn
These questions will help you identify your life's purpose.
Oprah Winfrey once said, “Everybody has a calling and your real job in life is to figure out as soon as possible what that is, who you were meant to be, and to begin to honor that in the best way possible for yourself."
The biggest question many of us ask ourselves is, "Why am I here, why was I created?"
Sadly, many go through life without ever finding the answer to that question.
In trying to figure out our purpose in life, some mistake it for success. But being successful at something and still feeling empty, confused, and depressed is a sign that you are not living out your purpose.
Rick Warren, the author of ‘Purpose Driven Life’, once said: “Being successful and fulfilling your life's purpose are not at all the same thing; You can reach all your personal goals, become a raving success by the world's standard and still miss your purpose in this life.”
"I've met people with jobs you might envy—accomplished artist, published author, CEO, famous chef, to name a few—whose work brings them more stress than joy, more pain than purpose,” Elizabeth Lesser, bestselling author and the co-founder of Omega Institute told mindbodygreen.com.
So how does one identify what their purpose in life is? The below videos from Oprah Winfrey are a great guide to help you discover your purpose.
