One of the recommended things to use on hair is the starchy water left over after you have boiled or soaked rice. This is also known as rice water.
Rice water is believed to aid hair because it contains amino acids, B vitamins, vitamin E, minerals, and antioxidants, reports Medical News Today.

Rice water is believed to do wonders for the scalp.
Dr Tiffany St. Bernard, a biomedical engineering Ph.D. and founder of HairDays, told CNN that the "starchy water is nutrient-dense, even containing antioxidants that are believed to help cleanse the scalp.”
According to Medical New Today, rice water can help detangle hair.
Apart from detangling hair, rice hair can also make the hair smoother and increase its shine.
It also makes hair stronger and helps it to grow.
Not only that, but according to Medical News Today, it can also help stop hair from turning grey.
Dr Tiffany agrees with the findings.
“Increased hair volume, better hair shine and appearance, stronger follicles, repair to cuticle damage, dandruff prevention and anti-inflammatory effects on the scalp,” Dr. Tiffany told CNN.
