These are the terms and conditions for East Coast Radio's Last Kid Standing Spelling Bee with SASKO on Darren, Keri and Sky.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- The Last Kid Standing campaign will launch on 18 April 2022.
- There will be four East Coast Radio outside broadcasts (OB) at schools selected by East Coast Radio.
- Four contestants will be selected form each OB and will be randomly placed into the weekly competitions to compete for a spot in the semi-finals.
- Winners from the outside broadcasts will be randomly selected by the Darren, Keri and Sky Executive Producer.
- All contestants chosen at the outside broadcasts will need to be available to compete on-air when assigned a date and time.
- Competition entries for Last Kid Standing will begin on 25 April 2022.
- Competition entries Last Kid Standing will close on 18 May 2022.
- The Last Kid Standing competition finale will take place on Tuesday 24 May 2022.
- All Last Kid Standing contestants who have been selected to compete are required to submit a copy of their birth certificate.
- All Last Kid Standing contestants must currently be registered Grade 4 learners at a school in KwaZulu-Natal.
- Darren, Keri and Sky will host the Last Kid Standing Spelling Bee with SASKO from Monday to Friday between 6 am and 9 am.
- All contestants will be required to compete live on-air if selected.
- Contestants will compete over the phone from Monday to Thursday.
- Daily winners from Monday to Thursday will compete against each other on Fridays.
- Semi-finalists will compete at the East Coast Radio on Fridays .
- All successful participants will be contacted by an East Coast Radio representative.
- All official communication will be sent to parents/guardians via email.
- Finalists are required to be at the finale live event at Elangeni Hotel Sky Venue on 24 May 2022.
- If a contestant is not present during the stipulated time, irrespective of the reason, the contestant will be disqualified from the competition.
- Contestants and parents must be willing to be filmed and photographed. All content filmed or photographed will be shared on East Coast Radio social media platforms indefinitely.
- All video and photographic footage will be owned by East Coast Radio.
- East Coast Radio reserves the right to utilise the footage in any way they seem fit.
- East Coast Radio reserves the right to determine if a contestant, parent, guardian, or guest of the contestant is behaving unlawfully or inappropriately. Should this be the case, East Coast Radio’s panel of judges reserve the right to disqualify the offender.
- No contestant or guest of a contestant may harass, intimidate or disrespect fellow contestants.
- East Coast Radio reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions in an ethical and transparent manner should it be required.
