Body of girl (10) found in Tongaat

Search and rescue teams in Tongaat have found the body of a ten-year-old girl who was in a car that was swept away on Monday evening near a flooded bridge in Flamingo Heights.

The child was with her grandmother and two sisters aged four months and 18-months in the vehicle.
The bodies of the other three victims were recovered earlier on Tuesday.
A family member who was on the scene told Newswatch the grandmother went to pick up the children from their house after it became flooded.
He says the elderly woman was driving with the children to her house when she noticed a bridge she was approaching was flooded.
She tried to make a U-turn but a strong current hit the car and pushed it over the bridge.
Rescuers say the car was found at around 2 this morning with the body of the grandmother inside.
An 18-month toddler girl was found a few hours later. In the late morning, they recovered the of the youngest girl who was four-months-old and then this afternoon, the ten-year-old was found.
The family say they are devastated by the loss.
They say they never thought something like this would happen to them.
