The women who won at the 23rd annual Grammy Awards

On this day back in 1981, the 23rd annual Grammy Awards was held at the Radio City Music Hall in New York. Here are some of the biggest winners of the night.
In Girl Power Thursday today with Jane-Linley-Thomas, she's featuring three female artists who took home the biggest awards at the 23rd annual Grammy Awards ceremony.
The awards were historical in that they were the first Grammys show honouring the music of the ’80s and the first-ever held at New York’s famed Radio City Music Hall.
One of the biggest performers of the night was Irene Cara. The American singer-songwriter entertained attendees with her hit song, 'Fame'.

Debby Boone for ‘With My Song I Will Praise Him’.
Best Jazz Vocal Performance, Female.
Ella Fitzgerald for 'A Perfect Match - Ella And Basie'.
