1. Ride bikes on the beachfront

What better way to enjoy Durban’s golden mile than a leisurely bike ride along the promenade?

Ocean Ventures at uShaka offers the perfect starting point to take in all of Durban’s beachfront splendour, including the Moses Mabhida Stadium, all the way to the Blue Lagoon and the Umgeni river.

2. Swim in the designated bathing area (wheelchair friendly)

There are so many hotspots to have a dip in the sea. Grab some umbrellas, slip on some sunblock, and enjoy the waves.

You can find the beach wheelchairs at the following places:

-       Suncoast Beach

-       Marine Life Savings Club

-       uShaka Beach

3. A lovely promenade walk

There's no better way to start your day than with a morning jog or walk along the promenade. You can also ride your bike and the kiddies can bring along their skateboards. The new extension will allow you to walk, jog or ride from the harbour mouth all the way to Blue Lagoon.

4. Surf Riders

The perfect beach view combined with the most interesting food combinations in Mzansi makes for one of our favourite gems on the East Coast.

Surf Riders Café is a vibey spot with "Just Good Chow". This food shack offers almost anything you could want and more that you can fathom. You have to check it out!

5. Suncoast

One of Stacey and J Sbu's favourite spots, this is the place to be!

This is Durban’s most loved entertainment destination, where there’s no shortage of family funevents, dining, and entertainment thrills around the clock.
