Whale Sports and Cocktail Bar, is proud to present the first of its kind
in South Africa, SPLASH TRI DASH, on 25 August 2024.
This exciting lap racing format is based on the hugely successful international Super League Triathlon racing. The SPLASH TRI DASH will occur on Amanzimtoti Main Beach, where teams and individuals will compete for their share of the R40,000 prize purse.
The event will host big names such as Henri Schoeman, Olympic bronze medalist at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, and Bridget Theunissen, who will represent South Africa at the u23 World Champs in Spain in October.
Teams from Johannesburg and Cape Town will also feature on the start list. The Splash Tri Dash is the first in South Africa and will be held on Amanzimtoti Beach.
- When: 25 August 2024
- Time: 7 am
- Venue: Amanzimtoti Main Beach in front of the Thirsty Whale and Splash Waterworld; 97 Beach Road, Amanzimtoti
- The race will be a Super League format with a triathlon starting with a 200m ocean swim, a 3km bike with full road closure, and a 1km
run on the promenade.
