Highland Gathering: Bagpipes, drinks and fun

The Highland Gathering promises to be a day of fun with bagpipes, beer and local talent, all while supporting community initiatives in Amanzimtoti.

The countdown begins! There’s a few days left until the Highland Gathering descends upon Hutchison Park on 3 May, bringing with it a whirlwind of bagpipes, beer and bravery! This spectacular event is a must-attend for anyone looking for a fun-filled day of music, magic and mayhem.

Little ones will be mesmerised by Big Top Entertainment's magic, juggling and unicycling shows. It’s a spectacle not to be missed!
Meanwhile, adrenaline junkies can get their fix with combat coaching during the Tai Chi display. Who knows, you might just discover your inner ninja.
Beer enthusiasts and music lovers, it’s your time to shine. The beer tents will be stocked with local brews and the sounds of talented musicians like Jason Hartman and Matt Gardiner will have you dancing the day away.
The Highlands Tavern tent near the civic gate is the place to be, with Beats Working, Wahwah Baby and Chewing the Hornet getting the party started.
On the rugby field, Piper's Bar will be pumping out the tunes with Fire in the Jukebox, DJ Fester and Jason Andrew spinning tracks that'll keep you grooving all day long.

Every rand raised during the Highland Gathering goes towards supporting initiatives that uplift and benefit the local community in Amanzimtoti. You can be a part of it by sponsoring the event, every little bit counts, from R5 for a chair to larger contributions!
