KZN is buzzing with excitement as filmmakers and film enthusiasts flock to the Durban International Film Festival (DIFF).
Since 1979, DIFF, hosted by the Centre for Creative Arts at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, has been lighting up screens and hearts across Southern Africa and beyond. With over 100 screenings annually, DIFF is your ticket to catching premieres that spark conversations and ignite imaginations.
Expect gripping documentaries to heartwarming shorts, there's something for everyone. Here's an inside look at the film festival:
DIFF isn't just any film festival. It's Oscar-qualifying for Best Documentary and Best Short Film categories. Who knows, the next Oscar-winning masterpiece could be born right here in Durban!
