Your wish has come true: KickstArt Theatre brings 'Aladdin' to life
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
From flying carpets to giant genies, Steven Stead's enchanting pantomime, 'Aladdin', is fun for the whole family.
Ask anyone who grew up in the 90s to name their top Disney movies, and the 1992 classic, 'Aladdin', is likely to be on the list.
Aladdin's rags-to-riches story resonated with families all over the world and remains popular in many households three decades later.
The 2019 live-action remake starring Will Smith and Mena Massoud was a box office hit - proving once again that the magical world of Aladdin will always be a favourite.
You've seen the animated and live-action films, and now it is time to witness the magic of the theatre version.
KickstArt Theatre is bringing 'Aladdin' to life this December. The production, which is directed by Steven Stead and Darren King, is showing at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre in Durban.
The show premiered on Thursday, December 7, and will run until Sunday, January 14.
Daniel Anderson stars as Aladdin, while Georgina Mabbett-Kelly plays Princess Jasmine.
The cast also includes Blessing Xaba (Widow Twankey), Iain Robinson (Abanazar), Mthokozisi Zulu (Wishee Washee), Rory Booth (Genie of the Ring), and Belinda Henwood (Dar Ling).
