Durban: The Virginia Airshow is back this September

This iconic show has a history in Durban with "57 years of spectacular manoeuvres and acrobatic flips thrilling thousands of spectators".
An iconic show returns to Durban next month and it is known for its historical place in the hearts of Durbanites.
The Virginia Airshow returns to the Virginia Airfield in Durban North.
The show promises to wow spectators with aerobatic aircraft performing amazing stunts.
"Saturday 9 September will see the skies of Durban treated to the roar of South Africa’s most magnificent aerobatic aircraft when one of the most popular South African airshows returns to Durban." (Facebook)
The Whats On Durban Facebook page was happy to make the announcement, saying: "For the first time in eight years, the Virginia Airshow is back. With the Indian Ocean as the perfect backdrop for these incredible displays, this event promises to be an action-packed family day out.
"Spectators can look forward to dramatic theatre in the sky and a range of ground exhibits, a market, delicious food and refreshment stalls and activities for all ages to enjoy."
There will also be ground exhibits and activities for the whole family to enjoy.
So, you won't have to always look up for the aerial performances.
The tickets are R140 for adults and R80 for kids, and the gates open at 8:30am.
