With the Suncoast ECR Big Walk around the corner, we asked Carol Ofori to share her top tips for fitting exercise into a busy lifestyle.

Carol Ofori and the team are getting ready for the upcoming Suncoast ECR Big Walk – one of KZN's biggest annual events. In the lead-up, we asked Carol for some inspiration.
We all know Carol wears many hats. Between her successful career, raising a family, and attending her fair share of glamorous events, carving out time to stay active isn’t always easy.
So, we asked her how she manages to keep fitness part of her busy routine.

1. Plan ahead
Carol highlights the value of planning when it comes to squeezing exercise into a busy schedule. If your days are packed, carve out time in the morning or evening – whatever works best for your routine.
Many Big Walk participants aren’t peak athletes, but they’re taking steps to build healthier habits. That’s why this first tip is key: start by being intentional about making time to move your body.
2. Stay hydrated and eat healthy
Carol also emphasises how important it is to fuel your body properly. Staying hydrated and making smart food choices will give you the energy you need to power through a workout.
As you prepare for the Suncoast ECR Big Walk, be mindful of what you’re eating and drinking – it’ll make all the difference in how you feel and perform.
3. Self-love
In the video above, Carol opens up about how sharing her fitness journey on social media is something she does for herself. It’s a way to document her progress, reflect on how far she’s come, and stay motivated to keep going.
As she puts it, "See your workout as you giving something back to yourself and not as torture."
