February 11 marks the 9th anniversary of Whitney Houston's death at the age of 48. Let's look at some of her many career achievements.
Whitney Houston was born on August 9, 1963, in Newark, New Jersey. She has sold over 200-million combined album, singles, and videos worldwide.
The 'I Will Always Love You' hitmaker is also the most awarded female artist of all time. According to Whitney Houston's website, as of 2006, the superstar already had 411 awards. Whitney has won six Grammy Awards and 22 American Music Awards.
She made history by becoming the first female artist to enter the Billboard album charts at #1.
In 2020, she was announced as the first black artist to have three RIAA Diamond certified albums.

Whitney released countless hits and performed throughout the world before passing away on 11 February 2012 in Beverly Hills, California, United States.

"On January 29, 1994 Whitney's song 'Queen of The Night' from the film 'The Bodyguard' hit #1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club chart. Whitney co-wrote the song, along with L.A. Reid, Babyface and Daryl Simmons (with production by L.A. Reid and Babyface). Billboard wrote at the time: "If anyone can successfully bring house music back to pop radio, it's Houston". "On January 30, 1999 - 'When You Believe' sung by Whitney and Mariah Carey peaked at Number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was written for the DreamWorks animated film 'The Prince of Egypt's' end credits and soundtrack album. It also appeared on both Whitney's 'My Love Is Your Love' album as the lead single and Carey's 'Number 1's' album. They performed the song at the 71st Academy Awards where it won for Best Original Song. Whitney and Mariah also performed the song on Oprah several months prior," read a post on Whitney Houston's IG.
"On February 6, 2010, Whitney's 'Nothing But Love' Tour commenced in earnest (after a soft opening in Russia in December of 2009). The tour started on February 6 in Seoul, South Korea for 2 shows. There were several dance remixes of the song including Hex Hector's and Junior Vasquez's — which topped the dance charts.
