Leonard Cohen would have turned 88 on September 21.
The musical genius died on 7 November 2016 died in his sleep after a fall at his home in Los Angeles. At the time of his death, he was 82.
Prior to his death, he revealed to New Yorker that he was ready to die.
“I am ready to die. I hope it’s not too uncomfortable. That’s about it for me," he told the publication.

Cohen was a gifted singer, songwriter, poet, and novelist who released his first record in 1967.
The highly influential singer enjoyed a career that lasted for nearly 50 years.
In 1984, he released his famous classic, 'Hallelujah' - a song that has been covered by great musicians such as John Cale, Jeff Buckley, and Rufus Wainwright.
It is the same song that featured on several films such as 'Shrek', 'Lord Of War', and 'Watchmen' .
Cohen's musical career continues to inspire millions of music lovers across the globe. The film, 'Hallelujah: Leonard Cohen, A Journey, A Song', has been produced to mark that fact. It looks at the life and work of Cohen and it made its theatrical opening in the UK on the 1st of September.
Cohen has won several Grammy awards including -'Grammy Award for Album of the Year' in 2008, 'Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award' in 2010, 'Grammy Hall of Fame' in 2015, and 'Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance' in 2018.
He has also won Juno awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008.
