Drawings said to belong to Michael Jackson will reportedly go on sale.

According to a media report by Daily Mail, a collection of 76 images reportedly drawn by Jackson is up for sale through Kings Auctions.

Rolling Stone reports that 'the collection includes 76 pieces drawn by Jackson's own hand, including images of Andy Warhol, Marilyn Monroe, Walt Disney, Peter Pan, and Ronald Reagan'.

However, Jackson's estate is reportedly questioning if the artwork actually belonged to the late pop star.

Another report by TMZ states that 'the late Thriller singer's estate does not accept these sketches as authentic after reviewing the items'. However, according to the same publication, Michael's signature on the drawings has been authenticated by Roger Epperson.

The auction will take place on August 3 at an undisclosed location.

TMZ reports that the auction will open with a selling price of $1-million.

The news comes after Sony acquired half of the artist's publishing and recorded masters catalog in February.

It paid a whopping $600-million.

Jackson, who was born on 29 August 1958, died on 25 June 2009.

Over a decade after his passing, his music continues to sell.

The singer, songwriter, and dancer sold one-million album units in 2022.

Last year November, his 'Thriller' album made history by spending 600 weeks on the Billboard chart since its release more than 40 years ago.
