East Coast Gold's Dave Guselli has paid tribute to a good friend, a mentor and a South African radio legend Kevin Savage, who sadly died on Saturday night at the age of 69 after a battle with cancer.

Dave Guselli says Kevin Savage was a close friend and mentor of his for over forty years.
He told his listeners on East Coast Gold on Monday morning he was devastated by his death.

Meanwhile, Mike Savage, Kevin's son. posted a photo to Facebook of a radio desk with the caption: "Love you, dad. See you in Strawberry Fields."
