35 years since Whitney's debut album

This
Valentine’s Day marks the 35th anniversary of Whitney Houston’s self-titled
debut album, released in 1985. A special HD video release of 'Greatest Love of
All' launches today in celebration.
Whitney
Houston became an instant sensation becoming the first solo female artist to
have seven consecutive number-one singles on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Whitney’s classic debut changed her life overnight with her first number-one single “How Will I Know” topping the US Billboard Hot 100 chart just hours after release.
Whitney’s second number-one single “The Greatest Love of All” following a month later.
Whitney
Houston’s music has touched young and old and she’s been cited as the most
awarded female artist of all time by Guinness World Records.
Whitney died
eight-years ago - almost to the day, in fact – it was the 11th of
February 2012, but her music lives on and she will forever be known as one of
the bestselling music artists with 200 million records sold worldwide.
