A lot has happened this past week...
Every morning we share 'Five Things You Need To Know As You Wake Up', which is a feature with a mix of five of the biggest stories in the country and across the world. It is the festive season and it is probably hectic at work; if you missed it then don't stress.

On Monday, the headlines everywhere in KZN specifically wrote: KZN enters fourth wave.

This was indeed true following the increase in COVID-19 cases. KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikala shared this after KZN, specifically recorded significant increases in daily infection rates as well as the number of people requiring hospitalisation and intensive care unit (ICU) beds.

After the Ballito and the Plett Rage were cancelled, communication came from the founder and organiser Greg Walsh, blaming the media for causing the hysteria that played a role in the popular matric party events being cancelled.
That same morning, rugby referee and events businessman, Stu Berry, shared an open letter almost sharing the same sentiments.
His argument was that outdoor gatherings are not as bad as the media are making it.

The blue San Pablo leather corner sofa worth R70,000, which was looted in July and later restored, which we visited live on the show, is now on tour. The San Pablo was on show at Clearwater Mall and is currently at Menlyn Park Shopping Centre and will be there until December 20.

As hundreds of people continue to soak up the Durban sunshine at a number of local beaches, eThekwini Municipality is urging bathers to keep away from the uMhlanga River exclusion zone. This after the UPL chemical spill earlier in the year.

For the festive season, The Pavilion Shopping Centre is bringing a special kind of Christmas feeling to our Durbanites.
You will be able to experience the Christmas lights from the comfort of your car. The Candy Cane Lane is an immersive drive-thru Christmas lighting experience on the roof parking lot.
Candy Cane Lane launched on December 8 and will continue until January 2 from 6.30pm until 9pm.
So head to the amazing mall for the festive experience in the comfort of your car.
