World Table Tennis (WTT) was successfully launched in 2021 as the new commercial vehicle of the ITTF.
It is placing players and fans at the core of all its business to catapult table tennis to the forefront of the global sports industry.

It has developed a modern and new event structure, establishing a clear journey from Day 1 to World Number 1. The WTT Series will showcase the sport’s best and up-and-coming table tennis players.
It will feature four Grand Smashes as the
pillars of the sport, eight single-table, single-gender WTT Champions events,
the WTT Contender Series, and the season-ending WTT Cup Finals.
The tournament is currently underway at the Durban ICC arena, so Darren and Sky wasted no time to call on some of the finest players to pull through in studio.

SA has officially welcomed table tennis enthusiasts from all over the world with a stunning opening ceremony at the weekend; showcasing Durban’s diverse cultures.
For these next eight days, the Durban ICC will host the 2023 International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) World Championship Finals.
