When people talk about Halloween, the scary ghost mask and costume comes to mind. If not, then it's the devil horns or even the police officer outfit. 

There is nothing wrong with being spooky and scary on the globally celebrated 'trick or treat' day.

But who will scare the scary monsters away? 

We need to have our Supermans, Batmans, and Catwomans, right? 

These three girls from Johannesburg rose to the occasion to be the superheroes that everyone in SA needs on Halloween.

They dressed up as our favourite superhero trio, The Powerpuff Girls - Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup. 

If you grew up in the early 2000s, you will remember they were always fighting Mojo Jojo and other robbers and aliens in Townsville. 

The girls were created by the lonely Professor Utonium, in an attempt to create the "perfect little girl" using a mixture of "sugar, spice, and everything nice". 

When Palesa Radebe, Lusanda Zuma, and Kholofelo Moloto collaborated to be South Africa's very own Powerpuff Girls, they had no idea they would go viral with their video replicating the original's title sequence.

When we say this is the best thing on the internet, we mean every single word. The creativity is absolutely spectacular and unbelievable - it is a detailed and perfectly curated concept. 

They use their own voices to create the melody of the title sequence song and incorporate some moves in there (of course, they are South African!). 

So enjoy this work of art we cannot help but applaud with admiration.
