The Springboks claimed a memorable win over Italy on Saturday afternoon. 

However, there was a big talking point before the game when a laboured performance of Nkosi sikelel’ Afrika sparked a frenzy of reaction.

The person who sang the anthem, Nicole Magolie, managed to eventually get through the anthem, but the pace and rhythm seemed to be desperately off. 

She definitely was singing very slow, to put it lightly, and a lot of people weren't having it at all. 

Here is the video to remind ourselves of how the anthem went this past Saturday in Italy:

Many people on Twitter even drew comparisons to the infamous anthem rendition from Ras Dumisani, before the 20-13 Test match defeat to France in 2009. 

In case you might have forgotten, Dumisani arguably sang the worst rendition of the South African anthem back in 2009.
