WATCH: Rhino gets dehorned at Manyoni Game Reserve
Updated | By Darren, Keri and Sky
When Keri visited Manyoni Private Game Reserve in Zululand, she joined in on an eye-opening and goosebump-raising experience. Along with a camera crew, all of it was documented in a video.
On the 29th of June, Keri Miller paid a visit to the Manyoni Private Game Reserve in Zululand to catch and dehorn a rhino along with David Attenborough's children, Josh and Amy.
Reporting live at the dehorning expedition, Keri interviewed staff at the game reserve, as well as Dr. Mike Toft, who explained the process of catching and dehorning a rhino.

What stood out was the reason behind the process of dehorning, which was to deter poachers from killing these innocent animals for profit. With the dehorning process being performed by professionals, the animals experience less pain and their horns grow back at a later stage.
