WATCH: Local youngsters hitch trip on eThekwini water tanker
Let's all ensure that children respect the rules of the road.
A video that has been doing the rounds on social media shows a couple of local kids hitching a ride on the back of a water tanker.

According to IOL, four youngsters were recorded by Zail Singh hanging onto the back of a municipal water tanker.
The eThekwini Municipality was quick to warn parents that they should be aware of what is going on and where their children are at all times.

According to Singh, he saw the incident while he was travelling along Newlands West Drive.
"It was raining and during peak traffic. These kids were jumping on and off the truck and the driver was travelling relatively fast," says Singh.

Singh did confirm that the boys eventually hopped off the truck when it turned onto another road that had less traffic on it.
According to Singh's friends who commented on the video, these boys are usually hopping onto trucks at the Hillgrove traffic intersection.
This is, of course, a concerning matter for all.
