WATCH: 'Framing Britney Spears' is a horrifying pop documentary

Britney Spears has been struggling to break free from her conservatorship and fans worldwide have been showing their support for the popstar.
Seemingly out of nowhere a brand new documentary about Brintey Spears' life has been released.

More specifically, this documentary gives an in-depth look at the ongoing struggles the star has been facing with her legal issues and conservatorship.
It's called 'Framing Britney Spears' and it is now available on Hulu and FX.

It begins with the popstar's rise to fame before going into the controversy surrounding her mental health, her father being her conservator, and her general well-being.
In case you have been living under a rock, Jamie Spears, the father of Britney, has been in control of her financial and career affairs since her breakdown and subsequent hospitalisation in 2008.

A conservator is a guardian or 'protector' that has been given complete control over a person's life and every aspect of it, basically taking away their freedom of choice and free will.
She had been battling major mental health issues, her family were incredibly concerned, and they ended up making the decisions they thought would be best for her.

And they may have been 13 years ago, but it could be time for a change.
Generally, there is a place for this type of agreement in society when people are truly at risk of harming themselves or others.
However, many fans and other celebrities across the world have spoken up and agreed that the time has come for Britney to regain control over her own life, and this is now known as the #FreeBritney movement.

The movement has gained massive momentum and even more attention as viewers were left shocked by the documentary:

All jokes aside, the story of Britney Spears has taken a serious turn over the last few years.
We can only hope that Britney is doing well, considering the circumstances, that she is happy, and, most importantly, that she is taking care of herself.
