Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it Superman? Kind of, it's a patriotic pilot and a humongous SA flag!

Look up! There's something in KZN's sky. 

On Wednesday morning, Pilot Reinhardt Hanel soared into the skies above Durban with a massive South African flag. This endeavour aimed to inspire citizens to participate in voting.

With a target in sight, the mission was simple: fly the 400sqm flag from uMhlanga across Durban.

This feel-good moment has been met with much praise from East Coasters. The super pilot shares that this flag took a whopping two weeks to put together.

It was a stroke of luck that our province got to bask in this glorious moment. “Although we are Cape Town-based, I happen to be here in Durban with the helicopter that we have been using for banner towing over the last few months,” he shared.
