Mythbusters for the crawly cockroaches...
Carmen Reddy had a weekend from hell dealing with a severe cockroach infestation.
Carmen shares: "There were cockroaches everywhere in my apartment! They were fumigating the kitchen of the building I live in, and now they are coming out of all the nooks and crannies - I don’t know what to do!"
Brace yourselves for a sweating week ahead set to unearth the roaches that reside among us.

The Myths:
Myth 1: Cockroaches only infest dirty homes: While cleanliness is crucial for pest control, cockroaches can invade even the cleanest of households. They're relentless scavengers, and food, water, and shelter are all they need.
Myth 2: They only come out at night: It is reported that cockroaches are more active at night, however, you might spot them during the day if their population is large or resources are scarce.
Myth 3: Cockroaches are immortal: While it might seem this way at times, it is false.
Myth 4: Cockroaches don't serve a purpose: Not only do they help “clean up” degrading plant material, in the process their bodies trap a lot of atmospheric nitrogen.
Here are five safe options you can use to get rid of the cockroaches in your home, without harming them, your pets, or your family:
- Seal entry points
- Maintain cleanliness
- Store food securely
- Reduce moisture
- Seek professional help
Understanding the reality of cockroaches and employing these tips can help you keep these unwanted guests at bay.
Good luck in your endeavours, as you may approach a roach!
