The media personality has said that even after his friends advised him to apologise, he will not do so.
Somizi Mhlongo-Motaung has vehemently expressed that he will not be apologising after dragging the journalist who wrote a story about his alleged divorce from husband Mohale Motaung-Mhlongo.
The 'Idols SA' judge, in an Instagram video, said that the rumours aren't factual, which made his blood boil and the decision to drag the journalist and publication easy.

After the story was published, Somizi had taken a screengrab of his conversation with the journalist and wrote on Instagram: “So @city_press has become a tabloid...okay...two can play that game…,” further asking his followers to dial the journalist’s number and invade her privacy as she did his. In the same post, he also took aim at Sunday World.
After his post, which he has since deleted, the South African Editor's Forum (SANEF) called for action to be taken against the 'Dinner At Somizi's' star. The organisation said that he must unreservedly apologise to the journalists and the public on all his social platforms and also ask his fans to stop harassing the City Press Journalist.

However, Somizi says he is not sorry and even after his friends and boss asked him to humble himself, he will not do so. The star says that he has reached a point where he will protect himself and those he loves by any means necessary.

“I’m still not sorry for what I did. I am in a place where I will do anything to protect my space. I don’t have a problem with my stuff being out there but I have a problem when things are not factual.
“This journalist wrote a story that my marriage is on the rocks and that I found out my husband cheated on me with a married man who has kids and I am protecting this man. I have no idea what she is talking about.
“I am not apologising for what I did. The only thing that I know I did wrong was to post her private number but I did that deliberately,” he said in part.
