PICS: Wild storm blankets of snow cover Greece after a rare 'snownado'!
Although it has created chaos in the parts of the country, it also looks oh-so-magical!
While we may be in summer, with some enjoying and dreading the heat, Greece is in the middle of low temperatures featuring snow.
Unfortunately, parts of Athens experienced Storm Elpida on Monday which resulted in heavy snow and people had to be rescued and evacuated from certain places.
This rarely happens in the Greek capital, but this is the second consecutive year they have experienced this.

Athens has only seen six snow events since 2000, so you can imagine what an event it was.
It was also an inconvenience in some spots as they were hit by power cuts.
Rescue crews, including the army, worked through the night to assist thousands of people stranded in their cars on a motorway in the Greek capital after the snowstorm swept through the country on Monday.
As temperatures fell overnight, soldiers handed out food, water, and blankets to drivers, some of whom were stranded for more than 10 hours. TV footage showed the road and vehicles covered in snow.

More than 3,500 people had been evacuated by early Tuesday, some leaving their cars on foot. There were around 1,200 cars that remained stuck on the Attiki Odos, the capital's main ring-road, government spokesperson Giannis Oikonomou told CNN.
Authorities also declared Tuesday a public holiday, shutting public offices and private businesses except supermarkets, pharmacies, and petrol stations in the greater Athens area and on some islands.
Fifteen passengers were injured when a rail transport vehicle tried to pull a train carrying about 200 passengers which had halted in heavy snow in central Greece.
No deaths have been recorded.
