Miss Ballito pageant introduces the Top 10 finalists
Ten hopeful young ladies are in the running for becoming 'Queen of the North Coast'.
Pageants have long stopped being mainly about one's looks but rather about contestants' drive, ambitions, views and thoughts about the world and social issues, and the passion to make a change in the community. For these stated reasons specifically, we appreciate pageants. We are also excited to meet the Miss Ballito 2021 top 10 finalists.
The fundraising initiative for Zimbali Rotary has officially introduced the 10 ladies in the running to become 'Queen of the North Coast'. The pageant allowed entries from young ladies between the ages of 17 and 24.

During her reign, Miss Ballito she will work towards raising funds for charity.
Here are the ladies in the running for becoming Miss Ballito:
Julie Blevin, 17, Ballito
Julie plans to focus on empowering people through education and working to give better opportunities for those less fortunate.

Samkelisiwe Cele, 19, Ballito
"I love working with kids and helping them find themselves through me, so they will grow to know and acknowledge one another with respect. I believe that I can bring a lot of change in Etete and be able to realise all the dreams that I have for these kids," she shared.

Candice Lee Parasgan Doorasamy, 18, Shakaskraal
Candice shared that during her reign, she would devote her attention towards helping to raise funding and support for the cause.

Senalia Hardew, 20, KwaDukuza
Senalia shared she would focus on organising food, toy, and blanket drives for orphanages and old-age homes across the North Coast.

Megan Lane, 19, Ballito
Megan hopes to be able to educate, encourage, gain exposure and awareness, and to give a voice to those who may not have one. She hopes to grow the community and give back in any way possible.
Sibahle Makhanya, 21, Ballito
Sibahle is excited by this opportunity as it will allow the her to connect with local communities to make a difference in the lives of others who are less fortunate.
Jessica-Lee Marcus, 21, Umhlanga
Jessica-Lee wants to make a safer space for people who have suffered from bullying. She discloses that she struggled in high school with bullying.
Malindi Swanepoel, 21, Durban
Malindi's campaign is centred around the support and awareness for the Santa Shoebox project, where underprivileged children receive Christmas gifts..

Cikizwa Aqeelah Vilakazi, 20, Umhlanga
The AFDA student seeks to connect less fortunate communities with tertiary education opportunities.

Catelyn Weston, 22, Ballito
This young lady has a passion for helping animals and shared she would use her title to give back to organisations that take care of animals in need.
The competition's pageant includes training with life coaches and a variety of other skills set to benefit entrants – according to Heidie, these are skills entrants carry with them for life.
"Miss Ballito is an amazing journey of new friendships, fun activities, growth and learning but most importantly to make a difference and pay it forward," they shared with North Coast Courier.
The fundraiser has, since its inception in 2011, raised over R700,000.
May the best lady take the crown and do her part for the North Coast in her reign.
