LISTEN: R50,000 win for mom and son graduates with Standard Bank and DKS
Updated | By East Coast Radio
A beautiful and touching graduation gift for the go-getter mom, Ronica.
Ronica Bagwandin and her son, Nervay, graduated from the University of KwaZulu-Natal together a few weeks back. Coincidently and fortunately, she was the winner of today's Standard Bank URewards Competition R50,000 bonus prize on Darren, Keri, and Sky.
The Standard Bank Competition is as follows:
You have to bank with Standard Bank.
You have to fill up at Caltex.
You will receive an extra R2,000 when you spend R250 or more on fuel or oil at any participating Caltex in KZN.
If you're a UCount member, you'll win an extra 30,000 UCount Rewards Points, which equals R3,000.
You then stand a chance to win a bonus prize of R50,000 on any Monday if you tick all of the boxes above.
Well, today happened to be Ronica's day as she won the R50,000 we give away!
Ronica Bagwandin, who works at UKZN, graduated with a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree and her son Nervay graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma (Hons) in Bachelor of Commerce Accounting.
Ronica's reason to go through the academic journey with her son was because she believed that it would motivate the two of them.
Her son Nervay shared that he admires his mother's courage and strength in pursuing the degree.
The coincidence was mind-blowing and we have to call this our 'Graduation Gift' to the determined and courageous mother.
It also happened to be her husband's birthday today. So, it's a full on celebratory day.
Congratulations, Ronica!
Have a listen to her reaction when we called her:
