On Friday being the 24 March, during the show Breakfast with Darren Maule, there was a chilli eating contest where three people who had called wanting to enter during the week were put to the test.
The competition was to see how much chilli can one of these contests endure as the more they ate, the further the level of hotness they went.
The winner of the contest would walkaway with a Bathroom Bizarre Bidet worth R5 000.
The contests were Jason, Keagan and Sbonelo. Have a look how this group did in the earlier rounds of the competition through Facebook live video.
Before the competition started, Darren & Sky spoke to the hosts of The Great East Coast Chilli Fest being Nick from Eat Greek.
Nick had talked about the history of this festival and how much it had impacted tourism in Durban.

"It's been long time coming for KZN but I'm so releveled that we could finally get this off the ground again", says Nick.
Both Darren and Sky continued to speak with Nick regarding the inspiration to create this festival and some of the main attractions of the weekend.
Listen to the conversation of Nick speaking to the Breakfast team.
The competition was a huge success and it was down to the wire between Sbonelo and Jason.
To be fair, Sbonelo was roped in at the last minute as he works at St Joseph's hospital.
