Care to munch on some tyres for breakfast?

A jaw-dropping self-drive safari has been making the rounds on social media. As captured by one safari-goer, a young lion is seen nibbling on the tyre of a VW Polo at the Lion & Safari Park in the Bojanala Platinum District of the North West Province.

This safari gone wrong has shocked users and made them second guess whether self-drives are a good idea or not.

The video captioned “Self Drives are a big no” comes as a roaring surprise to everyone involved. Check out this nibbling lion:

As seen in the video above, this incident transpired on a visit to the park on the safari lover's birthday.

Despite the unfortunate challengers that come with a lion eating your tyre, we have no doubt that this birthday would be one to remember.

Luckily, the driver was able to manoeuvre the car away without injuring the lion. No injuries have been reported.

  • "People who opt for self-drive really stress me out"
  • "You, turns are expensive"
  • "Ancestors are trying to communicate with you"
  • "I would like to see the emails between the Polo driver and the insurance "
