KZN Blind and Deaf Society board executive Roxanne Peters passes away

Tributes pour in to the family of Roxanne Peters.
KwaZulu-Natal locals were saddened to hear the tragic news of Roxanne Peters' passing.
The news broke on Tuesday on IOL as the KZN Deaf and Blind Society board executive member suffered a stroke on Friday and died at the weekend.

Tributes are pouring in as Roxanne was seen as a pioneer in the local community of KZN.
A lot of people on social media posted messages of condolence.
"Roxanne was a child of the KZN Blind and Deaf Society, born to parents Albert and Madhuri Peters, both of whom are blind", says Se-Anne Rall on Facebook.

Roxanne spent her childhood at the society, literally learning to walk and run through its corridors whilst befriending and capturing the hearts of all she met.
Peters was a renowned baker and will be remembered for creating such amazing cakes.
The KZN Deaf and Blind Society confirmed the news in a post on their website.
Go well Roxanne, fly amongst the angels, where you’ll find your eternal resting place, and may your soul attain eternal peace. Peters' funeral will take place today, August 30, at 14h00 at the Clare Estate Crematorium, Hall 3.
Rest in peace to a KZN legend.
