There have been over 100,000 people who signed an online petition very recently, calling for West Ham United player Kurt Zouma to be prosecuted as part of a growing backlash over the abuse of his pet cat.
"Everywhere they go now and everywhere he [Zouma] goes, he's going to be targeted and rightfully so as well because he deserves everything he's going to get."

This was a statement by former Liverpool goalkeeper Chris Kirkland.
He is of the opinion that Zouma is deserving of all the backlash and the fines.
In the video, Zouma, 27, is seen slapping his pet’s face.
He then drops the cat and boots it in mid air across the kitchen floor.
