KZN weather alert! Chills and possible flooding on the East Coast

Brace for some cold and rainy conditions in KwaZulu-Natal.
Stay alert, KZN! The weather is turning and winter is in full swing.
The South African Weather Service has issued severe warnings for multiple provinces, including the Eastern Cape, Western Cape, Northern Cape, and KwaZulu-Natal. Flooding is expected in parts of the coastal provinces.

As shared by SAWS, here are the weather warnings and expectations on the severe weather conditions:
- A Yellow Level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms, resulting in strong damaging winds and hail, is expected over the eastern parts of Free State, Gauteng, the north-western parts of KwaZulu-Natal, and the Highveld of Mpumalanga.
- A Yellow Level 4 warning for disruptive rain, resulting in flooding, is expected over the extreme southern coast of KwaZulu-Natal.
- A Yellow Level 2 warning for damaging wind and waves, leading to localised disruptions to harbours and/or ports, difficult driving conditions along coastal routes/roads, and choppy seas, as well as possible coastal infrastructure damage in exposed bays, are expected along the coast between Cape Point and Richards Bay.

It is essential to brace for uncertain weather conditions which are expected to be mostly cloudy, with widespread showers and thundershowers. Along the coast, a strong north-easterly wind is expected.
