Nothing can stop the anglers from KZN from going out to fish. After patiently waiting for the heavy winds, rain, and snow to subside, they ventured directly onto the rocks, hauling in a variety of species.

Garrick, Kob, Brusher, and rock species kept rods bending since Sunday, with unexpected quantities coming out throughout the week.

In this episode, the Angler News SA team delivers reports on the hottest feeding zones and offers very positive predictions for this week's fishing on both salt and freshwaters across KZN. Click  below to listen.

Offshore: The bigger seas and heavy winds have made fishing from boats a bit unpleasant, but the bumpy trips have been worthwhile.

Rock and Surf: The rock and surf anglers have been battling the cold in the early mornings. Their perseverance has been rewarded with some decent inedible and edible catches.

Freshwater: The bass have been making their presence well known, with some absolute beasts making their debut on social media sites, albeit looking a bit sheepish. The recent snows are likely to make conditions a bit tricky in the higher altitude areas.

Meanwhile: Think bad weather means no fishing? Think again. If you're on holiday or have time off to go fishing, but the weather isn't ideal, you might wonder, "What now?"  Fortunately, fishing in bad weather can offer unique opportunities, according to expert angler Ray Thompson.

He tells Vinesh Soogreem that in challenging conditions fish often become more active and easier to catch.
