Former AmaZulu coach Benni McCarthy joins Manchester United!

The darling of Bafana Bafana is now coaching the Red Devils' strike force for the season.
South African social media was abuzz on Saturday when Manchester United announced that former AmaZulu coach Benni McCarthy was appointed as part of Erik Ten Hag's coaching staff.
This was a massive achievement that was shared by all South Africans, including Sky Tshabalala.

Sky is a well known Manchester United fan, so to see one of the SA men's football greats being touted for a global giant like Manchester United is a big thing for the nation.

According to the Manchester United website, Benni is a boyhood Red Devils fan. He always wanted to play for the club and loved United legends such as Mark Hughes, Andy Cole, and Ryan Giggs.
The 44-year-old former Bafana Bafana striker also represented the likes of FC Porto, Ajax, Blackburn Rovers, and West Ham United during his career.

McCarthy was sacked as the head coach of AmaZulu back in March last season.
This came after guiding the Premier Soccer League team to a record second position in the league.
In 2020/2021 season, he was named the South African Premier League's Coach of the Season.

The ex-forward will specialise in coaching attacking plays and positioning for strikers in the first team setup at Manchester United.
Many people on social media have taken to congratulate Benni.
Sky is happy that there's now at least someone of Benni's pedigree who will coach the strikers at the Red Devils.
