The US government has issued a security alert and warned its embassy staff about a “possible terrorist attack” in greater Sandton, reportedly planned for Saturday, October 29.

According to officials, a NEW SkyCar has to be purchased for the Moses Mabhida Stadium as it is no longer economical or safe to repair the one that broke down a few years ago. The SkyCar is a glass-encased lift that travels up the iconic arch over the stadium to a viewing platform.

Vuyolwethu Simanile from uMlazi ate the most chicken feet in 60 seconds according to the Guinness World Records website. Simanile consumed 121g of chicken feet in 60 seconds. A minimum of 110g (3.8oz) was required to be eaten in order to be considered record-worthy. According to the website, she was the the first person to achieve this Guinness World Records title.

The eThekwini municipality has dismissed claims that a visiting international rugby team had to cancel their match after bad water made them ill during their stay in Durban. Mayor Mxolisi Kaunda slammed “misinformation” surrounding the city’s water quality after media reports that the postponement of a rugby match between the Cell C Sharks and Ulster was due to two cases of gastrointestinal infections caused by the city’s water.
