Mbuso Moloi, who faces charges of theft and public violence for allegedly looting a basket of goods from Woolworths, has fired his attorney. He apparently applied for legal aid (which is free).

The Durban Metro Police have been slammed for being “inhumane and uncaring” after pictures emerged online of officers dumping the blankets of homeless people during a clean-up operation in Umbilo this week.

Arts and Culture Minister Nathi Mthethwa appears to be listening to the criticism over his contentious move to spend more than R20 million on a flag pole project. Trevor Noah and Minka Kelly have reportedly gone their separate ways for the second time. The couple were first linked in September 2020. After breaking up in May 2021, they got back together and travelled to South Africa for a New Year's holiday.
