Load shedding was reduced to stage 2 from 10 PM yesterday. 

For the past 21 days of April, the new financial year, Eskom has already spent R626-million on about 48.5-million litres of fuel to run its open-cycle gas turbines — usually reserved to supply additional energy to the national grid during times of peak or emergency demand.

The KwaZulu-Natal floods death toll has been revised after autopsies revealed that four people, whose bodies were found in flood-impacted areas, had been murdered. Nine others had died of natural causes.
